CorelDRAW Tutorial - Vertical Stretch Zoom Text Effects

Here a simple CorelDRAW tutorial for Vertical Stretch Zoom Text Effects.

Step 1
Use Rectangle tool (F6) to create a rectangle for the background. On this tutorial, the Objet size: Width = 1920 px and Height = 1080 px.

Step 2
Coloring the background with your taste. Use Fountain Fill (F11) for gradient color. On the Fountain Fill windows, change Type to Radial. Then on the Color blend option change the From color darker then the To color. For example, From color is rgb(102,153,51) and To color is rgb(153,204,51).

Step 3
Add your text with Text tool (F8). Resize to taste and coloring it. I use color rgb(102,51,0).

Step 4
With Rectangle tool (F6), create a rectangle like shown below. Object size: Width = 100 px; Height = 350 px. With the rectangle object selected, copy it by pressing Ctrl+C on keyboard.

Step 5
Coloring the rectangle with black. Go to tabs Bitmaps > Convert to Bitmap.

NB: We can use Drop Shadow tool to make the shadows. But on this tutorial, we use bitmaps blur.

Step 6
An Convert To Bitmap windows will appear. Let the default option then click OK button.

Step 7
With the bitmap (black rectangle) object selected, go to tab Bitmaps > Blur > Gaussian Blur.

Step 8
A Gaussian Blur windows will appear. Change the Radius value to taste. Click the padlock icon for live preview. On this tutorial, with the size of the objects here, its enaugh with Radius = 5.0 Pixels.

Step 9
Paste (Ctrl+V) the rectangle that copied on Step 4. I change the Outline color to red to make it visible.

Step 10
Stretch vertically the rectangle (red) by increase the value of the height. For example, Object size: Height = 400 px. Select the rectangle and the blurred-black object then click Back minus front icon button.

Now we have shadows.

Step 11
Paste (Ctrl+V) again the rectangle that copied on Step 4. I change the Outline color to red to make it visible. Select the rectangle (red) and the text object then click Intersect icon button.

Now we get the Intersect result object.

Step 12
Paste (Ctrl+V) again the rectangle that copied on Step 4. I change the Outline color to red to make it visible. Select the rectangle (red) and the text object then click Back minus front icon button. 

Step 13
Next step is select the Intersect result object then increase the height. On this tutorial I increase the Height scale factor to 110 %.

Step 14
Repeat Steps 4-13 in another position on the text.

NB: You can repeat from Steps 11 by copying the rectangle (red) and the shadows on Step 12 then paste and move them to another position

CorelDraw Tutorial - Create a Logo on a Blurred Background

In this simple tutorial we�re going to create a simple retro logotype and place it on a blurred background made from a photo right in CorelDraw. We�ll be using some basic shapes and tools and working with transparency to turn our photo into a defocused background.

Let�s get started!

CREATE THE LOGO

Step 1 
Choose Star tool and form a even star by holding the Ctrl button. Setting the Star tool, for example, in this tutorial: Points or sides = 36; Sharpness = 10.

Step 2
With the star selected, use Contour tool. For this size of star, I use Contour offset = 30px. Then apply the Outside Contour by clicking the Outside contour button icon.

Step 3
Right click the Contour object and choose Break Contour Group Apart or just with shortcut Ctrl+K.

Step 4
With both selected, click Back minus front button icon then coloring it (black, for example). We call curly object.

Step 5
Create a circle with Ellipse tool (F7) and form a even circle by holding the Ctrl button. To align the circle in centers of the first object, select both and press C (Align Centers Vertically) then E (Align Centers Horizontally) button on keyboard.

Step 6
Repeat Step 5 for another smaller circle like below. Select both of circle and click Back minus front button icon then coloring. We call Inner circle.

Step 7
Add the main text with Text tool (F8). Like the Step 6, to align the text in centers, select the text with one of the: curly object or Inner circle then press C and E button on keyboard.

Step 8
Use Rectangle tool (F6) to add seperated line like below (above of text). Copy the rectangle (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) below the text. We call it Top line and Bottom line object. To align the Top line and Bottom line object in center horizontall of the logo, select the Top line, Bottom line and the Curly object then press C button on keyboard.
Next, arrange both of Top line and Bottom line object to center vertically. The way is select both of Top line and Bottom line, then group them by press Ctrl+G on keyboard. Select the grouped object and Curly object then press E on keyboard.

Step 9
Add anothe text, for example like below.

Step 10
Add some stars with Star tool. Use the necessary steps above.

Step 11
Select all of the object, and group them (Ctrl+G).

FORM A BLURRED BACKGROUND

Step 12
Choose your background on your computer or internet then place / insert it on your CorelDraw project.



Step 13
With the background image selected, go to Bitmaps > Blur > Gaussian Blur.

Step 14
Set the Radius value and find your bluriness taste (click the padlock icon button to make it auto preview) then apply it by clickin the OK button..

Step 15
To crop the image blur out, create a rectangle with Rectangle tool (F6) like below (I used with color to make it visible). Select the blurred image and the rectangle, then click Intercest icon button.

Step 16
Now delete the white rectangle and the first blurred image.

Step 17
Bring the logo to the front of the blurred image. Coloring the to white.

Step 18
With the logo selected, use Transparency tool. Set the Transparency type to Uniform and adjust the opacity (Starting Transparency) value with your taste. You may change the Transperancy operation from normal to Screen, Overlay, Softlight, etc.

CorelDraw Tutorial - Flat Perspective Building Logo

This CorelDRAW Tutorial will show you how to create / make flat building logo with 2 point perspective projection. Maybe you can find many other tutorials from search engine, but here I try to make my way. Hope you like this tutorial.

BUILDING I

Step 1
Create a rectangle with Rectangle tool (F6).

Step 2
Create another rectangle like shown below.

Step 3
Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) and arrange the rectangles, or just hold Shift, click and drag the rectangle to bottom then Right click mouse button. Press Ctrl+R on keyboard to repeat the copying rectangle.

Step 4
Create rectangle again like below. Then copy it.
 

Step 5
Select all object. Then click Back minus front icon button.


Step 6
I coloring the object with green for example to make this tutorial more explicit.

Step 7
Create a rectangle, for example like below. Then click Intersect icon button.

Step 8
With the intersect result selected, coloring it with another color (blue for example).

Step 9
Select both of the rectangle and the green object. Click the Back minus front icon button.

Now you have two object seperate that the green and blue object.

Step 10
Select the green object, then go to tab Effects > Add Perspective.

Step 11
Create a rectangle (or vertical line) like below for vertical reference the perspective point.

Step 12
Drag the perspective point to the rectangle corner like shown below. 

Step 13
Repeat the step 10-12 for the blue object.

Step 14
Delete the reference rectangle and coloring each side building (for example like below).

BUILDING II

Step 15
Create a rectangle.

Step 16
Create another rectangles and copy like shown below.

Step 17
Create another rectangle like shown below. Select the rectangle and the biggest rectangle. Then click combine them with clicking the Weld icon button.

Step 18
Create another rectangles again like shown below.

Step 19
Select all then click Back minus front icon button.

Step 20
Repeat Step 7-14 for this object.
